The delicate balance between modesty and conceit is popularity.
The previous post is destined to be the last proper for the next five days. As I had warned earlier this is the period of the J’accuse hiatus. The second 5-day batch of holidays starts tomorrow. I am off to Kent with the family-in-law. Will be staying in another cottage, this time near Ashford and I plan to make this as relaxed and slow-going a holiday as I can. I’ll have to since Mel’s Grandma is coming along. We’ll be doing the Farmer’s Markets, the coastal towns and a raid on Canterbury and its bookshops. More of Whitstable, more of Dover and maybe Brighton again. We’ll see.
You all know what that means. 5 days without your favourite blogger. Quit sobbing in the back. Here’s my hint for some intelligent reading till J’accuse is back: check out www.aldaily.com … it’s a gold mine of articles. On Sunday remember your appointment at the newsagent to pick up the newspaper that comes for free with the 50c J’accuse article (actually how much does the Indy cost in Euros?). I hope Noel Grima is not reading this one…. hey it’s all tongue in cheek.
Remember that sitting for long hours in front of the computer screen can be detrimental to your health. There’s always the Playstation, the Wii and the TV for a bit of variety. Think of me when you are having your breakfast this weekend… I’ll be having a better one… just for you to know.
Anyone who thinks they’re important is usually just a pompous moron who can’t deal with his or her own pathetic insignificance and the fact that what they do is meaningless and inconsequential.
