A bit of sport on J’accuse for a change. Yesterday was Carling Cup night in the UK and Michael Mifsud got a rare start with Coventry FC. It seems that he repaid his manager with a double-salvo… go Mifsud go!
Carlisle 0-2 Coventry
Michael Mifsud scored both goals as Coventry cruised past Carlisle in their Carling Cup second round tie.
Mifsud collected Dele Adebola’s pass to fire his side ahead in the first half with a stinging low shot from just inside the penalty box. And the Maltese international made it 2-0 on the hour heading home Ellery Cairo’s cross from close range. The home side’s best chance fell to Danny Graham after two minutes but he pulled his shot wide from eight yards.
